Chapters are encouraged to plan activities that enhance the Mission of the Rho Chi Society. Please make use of the website (http://www.rhochi.org) for any information you might need about the Society. The site should be helpful and informative. Spring is usually a very busy time of the year for chapters as many chapters elect new members during this time. Please allow ample time for the National Office to process your new member election reports and order your pins and certificates. It is not only an expectation, but an induction ceremony is made even more special when new member is able to receive his/her pin and certificate at that time. If you have any questions concerning the process for electing and reporting new members, please visit the website or contact the National Office (919-843-9001). Please be sure your chapter has submitted your 2003-2004 roster of officers to the National Office. If your current President is not listed on your chapter’s web page, updated information has not been received in the National Office. In addition to your faculty advisor, this is an essential means of disseminating information to your members.

2003-2004 CHAPTER AWARDS
Each and every chapter is encouraged to participate in the annual Chapter Awards Program. This should be a very rewarding process. If you aren’t prepared for the February 2, 2004 deadline, be prepared for the June 4, 2004 deadline. Your Chapter proposal might just be the next one to receive recognition!

RHO CHI ALUMNI HONOR ROLL
In helping to fulfill the Society’s mission to seek universal recognition of its members as lifelong intellectual leaders in pharmacy, and as a community of scholars, to instill the desire to pursue intellectual excellence and critical inquiry to advance the profession, the Alumni Honor Roll was developed as an outreach effort. Background information, selection criteria and nomination were sent to Chapters via the listserv in the Fall Semester, 2003. Chapters are encouraged to identify and nominate one alumnus annually who has “advanced the profession through intellectual leadership and the pursuit of excellence.”
Fourteen outstanding alumni were recognized in 2003, however, this number represents less than twenty percent of active chapters. Please take the time to nominate a worthy alumnus of your chapter. To nominate an alumnus of your chapter to the Rho Chi Alumni Honor Roll, the following information is requested. The deadline is February 1, 2004, but has been extended to February 16.
